The project aimed at raising awareness of the general public for the issues of sustainable regional development and the interplay of regional development and nature conservation. For this aim, an educational resource kit on sustainable regional development for high school students was made available to all high schools in Switzerland. This tool was assessed as highly valuable for the region and for Swiss schools in general by the teachers as well as by the Swiss UNESCO general secretary.
